I’ve been wanting to build a basic pick and place machine for a while. And I’ve finally made a start. So far I have the three axis platform working. It’s a bit of a Frankenstein affair as it’s based on a laser etcher that is only two axis. But in true maker fashion, I’ve hacked it about a bit and extended it. So the only pieces of the original design remaining are the pink 3D printed parts. Next step is gathering the parts for the head. I’ve also started getting familiar with openpnp.
